Parkheuvel stond al sinds jaar en dag op mijn lijstje, eindelijk van gekomen.
Werkelijk waar alles was perfect.
Kwaliteit van het eten, de brigade en vooral ook de ambiance.
Ondanks Rotterdam kans op herhalingsbezoek groot.

Read full reviewIk voel me genoodzaakt mijn teleurstelling te uiten over mijn recente ervaring bij Restaurant Parkheuvel, waar ik met een vriend voor de lunch maar liefst 420 EURO moest afrekenen. Hoewel de service lovenswaardig was, kan ik helaas niet zeggen dat de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding in orde was.
De gerechten die we voorgeschoteld kregen, waren zeker verfijnd, maar ze rechtvaardigden op geen enkele manier het exorbitante prijskaartje. De porties waren minimaal, en het voelde alsof we meer betaalden voor de naam van het restaurant dan voor de daadwerkelijke culinaire ervaring.
Het gebrek aan variatie in het menu was ook teleurstellend. Voor de prijs die we betaalden, verwachtten we een breder scala aan smaken en creativiteit. Het leek alsof de chef-kok terughoudend was om risico's te nemen en vasthield aan conventionele smaken, wat niet overeenkomt met de verwachtingen die je zou hebben bij een restaurant van dit kaliber.
Hoewel de bediening attent was en de sfeer aangenaam, kon dat niet verhullen dat we ons uiteindelijk bekocht voelden. Het voelt als een gemiste kans voor Restaurant Parkheuvel om een onvergetelijke eetervaring te bieden die overeenkomt met de hoge prijs die wordt gevraagd.
Al met al kan ik helaas niet anders dan concluderen dat de lunchervaring bij Restaurant Parkheuvel mijn verwachtingen niet heeft waargemaakt en dat de hoge kosten niet gerechtvaardigd waren. Ik hoop dat toekomstige gasten beter geïnformeerd zullen zijn over wat ze kunnen verwachten voor de prijs die ze betalen.

Gastvrij ontvangst in mooie kerstster. Goeie persoonlijke aanbevelingen voor de wijnen. Verrassende amuses. Lekker surprise menu. En de friandises bij de koffie maakten het compleet. Gastvrijheid 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Modern and luxurious restaurant: Parkheuvel**, led by the Van Loo family, situated in a park with wonderful views over the river Maas and not far from Rotterdam's city centre.
Parkheuvel restaurant has recently been restyled by the architect Thed Konings in a refined and intimate interior, French art deco style.
Parkheuvel´s capacity is 75 seats. Furthermore there is a separate, intimate salon where companies can be received.
Harmonious gastronomy of a refined taste and rich with subtle aroma is this establishment's goal, in order to please the most spoiled customers.
