Bij alle acht gerechten was sprake van een goed gebalanceerde smaak- en kleurcombinatie; twee door ons van de kaart geselecteerde wijnen waren out of stock; het geboden alternatief voldeed goed.

Geluncht met het 6 gangenmenu. Haastige sommelier hielp weinig behalve dat ze niet aan 'wine-pairing' deden en dat een fles witte wijn sowieso beter was bij hun gerechten. Tot onze verrassing bleken ze dan bij het hoofdgerecht toch een glas rode wijn te schenken. De gerechten waren lekker echter minimalistisch qua portie. Het zou te verwachten zijn dat de porties van het zes gangen menu wat groter zijn dan die van het 12 gangen menu. Het water kun je beter laten staan dat kost net zoveel als een glas wijn (15 euro!). De gangen komen snel achter elkaar. Onze buren hadden een cocktail als apéro en de eerste twee gangen waren al geserveerd toen de cocktail nog niet op was.
Kortom heerlijk eten met verrassende smaken maar wat meer info en wat meer aandacht voor de klant zou de zaak duidelijk verbeteren. De kunst iets extra's te doen moet een kenmerk zijn van een sterrenrestaurant....

Dit is geen restaurant maar een nachtclub, donkere omgeving met intieme eettafels met een bank voor drie personen. Voor lunch een merkwaardige omgeving. Het zesgangen menu is fantastisch goed. Inventief, prachtige presentatie en schitterende smaakcombinaties. Zoals een klein bordje gemengde sla, mooie opmaak en zeer goed smakende saus. Of een rundertartaar in een heerlijk knapperig omhulsel. Geen amuses bouche. Porties zijn zeer klein. Zoals bij het bord met kreeft, twee miniscuul stukjes kreeft. Of het hoofdgerecht, prachtig gegaarde eend, één heel klein stukje vlees. Een pre dessert en dessert, prachtige presentatie en geweldig van smaak. Espresso macchiato met drie mooie gourmandises. Een glas Pouilly Fumé, peperduur voor € 15,- per glas. Of een keurig smakend Spaanse rode wijn uit het Zuiden van Spanje wel heel duur voor € 17,50. Espresso € 8,50, opvallend hoge prijzen. Vriendelijke bediening. Merkwaardig donkere nachtclub omgeving waarbij bij binnenkomst verzocht wordt geen foto’s van het interieur te maken.

We hebben za 18nov een 6 gangen lunch gehad in dit geweldige restaurant. Het interieur de sfeer,de bediening echt geweldig. Maar dan de gerechten, die waren werkelijk fantastisch, elke gang weer even bijzonder.we hebben enorm genoten en komen zeker terug.

Graphite* is the first speakeasy restaurant in the Netherlands and is located in the Paardenstraat near Rembrandtplein. The restaurant is mysterious and hard to find. So you have to look for a door with a scanner and take your QR code with you.

The setting in the restaurant is reminiscent of bars at the time of the American reclamation. An intimate yet spacious restaurant with a clubby atmosphere, loud music and dimmed lights. A mysterious environment.

Chef Peter Gast has earned his spurs in the past 16 years as chef of restaurant 't Schultenhues in Zutphen. He prepares classic dishes and refined sauces and combines these with inventive ideas.

In 2020 Graphite was awarded 1 Michelin star and in total they have 16 Gault&Millau points.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

No, for most restaurants you don't have to pay upfront when you make a reservation.
Some restaurants only accept reservations with a small down payment, this is clearly indicated when making a reservation.

2. I want to cancel my reservation but I do not have my confirmation email. What can I do?

3. How can I write a review?

Once you have made your reservation, you will automatically receive an e-mail with an invitation to share your gastronomic experience with the restaurant in a review. Click on 'leave a review' in the e-mail and here you can write a review about the restaurant you have visited.

4. What is the National Restaurant Week?

During the National Restaurant Week you can enjoy a fantastic 3-course dinner at the best 600 restaurants in the Netherlands for only € 29.95 per person. The National Restaurant Week is organized twice a year, in the spring and in the fall.

5. I'm following a special diet, can this be taken into account?

Restaurants are happy to take your dietary requirements into account. You can indicate this in the comments on the booking form.

6. Are drinks included in the menu price?

Drinks are not included in de menu price. Only, if its clearly stated in de deal description.

7. How can I change my reservation?

That's no problem! You can make changes by using the 'change' link in your confirmation mail or login into your account.

8. Is cancelling free of charge?

Yes, you can always cancel free of charge.

If you have paid a deposit, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. Your deposit will then be automatically refunded to your account. Please note that if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, the restaurant will keep your deposit to cover the cost of the table. We are independent of this, any problems caused by this must be resolved in communication with the restaurant.
