About Céline

Restaurant Céline is located in one of the last brick forts built 200 years ago. Located in the old Jutphaas on the fortress island and surrounded by nature, you will find yourself in an oasis of tranquility. From the highway you are within 5 minutes at our restaurant, there is also private parking for Celine's guests on the east side of the fort. As rugged and robust as the fort is on the outside, it is as refined and detailed inside at Restaurant Céline. Behind our stove is Rick Gresnigt, a chef with a quirky and creative take on food. Rick has gained his experience at renowned restaurants such as: Restaurant Lute, Restaurant de Hoefslag and Restaurant Simple. Since childhood our chef has been fascinated by food and everything to do with it. The flavors, colors and smells are infinite. Taste, creativity and unconditional hospitality come first for him. These are therefore the core values of his cuisine. The cooking style that he and his brigade put down is modern, headstrong and without rules, but with a lot of emotion and feeling. Good food is what it's all about and that's what we want to convey here. At the table is Amit Singh, a young Maître/Sommelier with a fresh outlook on gastronomy. Amit grew up in the hospitality industry and chose to continue his steps in fine dining. One of his most instructive courses was 'Gastronomic Sommelier' taught by taste professor Peter Klosse, for Amit a true icon in Dutch Gastronomy. Together with the rest of the team he ensures that every guest has an unforgettable evening, enjoying a good glass of wine combined with the high quality dishes from the kitchen. In 1959 the fort was transferred to the municipality and served as a wine fort where the barrels were bottled in the cellar. Many traces and antique machines of this were left behind which are proudly presented in the restaurant. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the fort in several "rooms" with a lounge, wine room and the kitchen. The cellar of the fort is the same size as the first floor where beautiful wine treasures can be found. We also have a terrace, located by the water and a beautiful oak tree. A wonderful place to enjoy a sumptuous dinner on a beautiful summer day.
