This was everything but a nice evening.
From the pictures and the description it looked really nice but it was nothing like this.

From the pictures and the description it looked really nice but it was nothing like this.
We arrived and we were sat outside, in the middle of the street.. on a table with a cup of staff coffee which was not cleaned up.
We ordered sangria and sparkling water and we had the 5 course menu.
The entree arrived and we had no cutlery, no set up and no drinks... It was 30 degrees and after 15 minutes no-one brought us a glass of water.
I asked if I could have had my drinks and I got served a small glass of tap water. We waited until the drinks finally arrived.
The food was ok, even though I do no appreciate one plate in the middle where you have to eat from. It is sold as a 5 course menu, but it is just one portion from something on the menu to divide in 2! Sort of a rip-off.
If the food was passable, the service was DISASTREOUS. The guy did not make us feel welcomed at any second, you could see he hated his life working there, mainly on a Friday evening with nice weather.. But this does not matter. If you work in hospitality, as I do, you know your evenings will be lost.. But do not make your guests feel bad.
He served the plates without even explaining what was in it.. What if there was something we were allergic?!
But the worst part was the payment. We got the bill and we wanted to pay by card. When this guy brought the pin machine at our table he said how much it was (105E) and we were ready to tap the card, when he retrected the machine saying "you don't want to give tips? This is the total without tips!".
THIS IS ABNORMAL! You cannot ask for tips. It is not a mandatory fact to leave tips and I am more than glad to give them when I am treated fairly and I enjoyed my evening.. But asking for it? Please, no!
If you would have provided a simple, decent service and a smile on your face I would have loved to tip you!
Finally, we topped up the bill to 110E , 5E totally NOT DESERVED, and we left... And we won't come back!
PS: Just an advice: Remember to make your guest as welcomed as you would like to be welcomed in a restaurant.
Eten was niet heel bijzonder, niet veel smaak en de vlees heel taai. Het service was ook meh - we moesten heel lang wachten
Heerlijk gegeten, verrassende smaken, top bediening. Een aanrader! 👍👍
Toen we aankwamen gingen ze net dicht, wel gereserveerd
