De zoveelste ster waar ik met een onbevredigend gevoel de deur uitloop. Dat lag overigens niet aan de perfecte uiterst vriendelijke en professionele bediening. We gingen voor het 5 gangen menu. Al bij binnenkomst werd de eerste amuse net na de voordeur aangereikt. Vegetarisch en heel simpel en uiterst verfijnde smaak. Gang 1, 2, 3 ieder smakelijk, soms zeer bijzonder van smaak/textuur maar niet om voor terug te gaan. Gang 4 hoofdgerecht, de nek van t Iberico varken, rosé beried! Tot twee keer toe teruggegeven omdat ik het zelfs niet kon uitkauwen. Uiteindelijk 2 reepjes ribeye gekregen met wat lof en voortreffelijke jus. Wederom smakelijk maar niet het ultieme wow gevoel. Kortom hoop bombarie maar geen sterrengevoel. Mis de verfijning en gebruik van mooie ingrediënten. Vlees dat niet te kauwen is had op de fileertafel al onderschept moeten worden.
Helaas een illusie armer. Misschien nog eens de proef op de som nemen alhoewel de eerste indruk vaak veelzeggend is.

Een verrassend "nieuwerwets" ster* concept! Een geweldige sfeer en gezellig jong personeel. Wij zijn hier geweest, soort van toeval, door de restaurantweek en komen zeker nog terug! Van alle gerechten die wij hadden, kon ik geen favoriet kiezen, aangezien ze allemaal enorm verschillend waren en ik van iedere gang geweldig genoten heb. Ook de wijnen waren goed op smaak gekozen en complementair. Chapeau voor de vegetarische amuse, gekarameliseerde wortel met bijpassend drankje en eerste gerecht van pompoen! Ik ben niet vegetarisch bij uitstek, maar waardeer het wel en vond dit een zalig goed begin. Tot de kazen en friandises aan toe, genoten. Bedankt!

Geweldig personeel. In de loop van de avond erg druk, maar bleef attent, aardig en behulpzaam.
Mooie locatie. Prachtige open keuken, die werkelijk onderdeel van de eetbeleving uitmaakt, en ook daar vriendelijk personeel.
Eten was prima. Gevarieerd, mooi en lekker. Maar nergens “wauw”, smaken bleven voorzichtig (op het zuurtje in gang 3 na). Dus prima, maar of dit nu een ster waard is…., had meer spanning, keer verrassing verwacht.
tot slot, meteen water aanbieden, maar dat dan wél op de rekening zetten vind ik niet passen bij zo'n restaurant. Gewoon water hoort gratis te zijn! En anders moet de gast in ieder geval een keuze hebben…

The restaurant gets its name from architect Jan Wils who designed the Olympic Stadium for the 1928 Games. This brought the Olympic fire back to the city and restaurant Wils* took its inspiration from it. Executive Chef Joris Bijdendijk, Head Chef Thomas Valen his brigade know how to tame this fire and can use their wood-fired ovens for delicious and refined dishes. Taste a casual atmosphere in a grand but very intimate interior inspired by an American brasserie.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

No, for most restaurants you don't have to pay upfront when you make a reservation.
Some restaurants only accept reservations with a small down payment, this is clearly indicated when making a reservation.

2. I want to cancel my reservation but I do not have my confirmation email. What can I do?

During the National Restaurant Week you can enjoy a fantastic 3-course dinner at the best 600 restaurants in the Netherlands for only € 29.95 per person. The National Restaurant Week is organized twice a year, in the spring and in the fall.

5. I'm following a special diet, can this be taken into account?

Restaurants are happy to take your dietary requirements into account. You can indicate this in the comments on the booking form.

6. Are drinks included in the menu price?

Drinks are not included in de menu price. Only, if its clearly stated in de deal description.

7. How can I change my reservation?

That's no problem! You can make changes by using the 'change' link in your confirmation mail or login into your account.

8. Is cancelling free of charge?

Yes, you can always cancel free of charge.

If you have paid a deposit, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. Your deposit will then be automatically refunded to your account. Please note that if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, the restaurant will keep your deposit to cover the cost of the table.
